The #lovecastleisland Christmas Collections Show held in the magnificent setting of the historic Ivy Lane Theatre in Castleisland, County Kerry was a huge success. Sustainable fashion event attracts huge interest on final day of Listowel Harvest Racing Festival 

Lisa Carmody and James O’Gorman were announced as the overall winners of the Listowel Tidy Town / An Taisce Best Presentation of an Up cycled/Restyled or Authentic Vintage Outfit at Listowel Races on Saturday 16th of September. Judged by vintage fashion lover, blogger and model Pat Walker and Susan Vickers from An Taisce, there was enormous interest and record entries into this innovative competition that highlights the potential of Waste Minimisation in the imaginative reuse of items we may have previously just discarded.

Jill Duggan from Killarney wins a Honda Jazz for a Year Plus €3,000 

Jill Duggan, from Killarney, was declared the overall winner of the McElligotts Honda Ladies Day, at the Listowel Harvest Racing Festival (Friday 15th of September), scooping the first prize of a stylish Honda Jazz for a year plus a cheque for €3,000. Jill wore a Heidi Higgins turquoise dress, with a headpiece from MacBees Killarney. First runner up was Joann Murphy from Kilgarvan in a stylish two piece by Tina Griffin with matching Carol Kennelly headpiece, and received a cheque for €1,000. 2nd runner up was Mary Kelliher from Killorglin, who wore a fitted red dress from MacBees in Killarney and a headpiece by Carol Kennelly and received a cheque for €500. Judges were Ireland’s top TV personalities Daithi O’Se and Maura Derrane assisted by Kerry footballer and McElligott’s ambassador Dave Moran. Huge crowds enjoyed the warm September sunshine atthe penultimate day of the harvest festival at Listowel Races.

The fashion highlight of the week is the McElligott’s Honda Ladies Day on Friday 15th of September judged by top TV Presenters Maura Derrane and Daithi O Se. The overall McElligotts Honda Best Dressed Lady will win a Honda Jazz for a year and €3,000 in cash, with further cash prizes of €3,000 to be won on the day. The popular Best Dressed Man Competition, sponsored by Emerald Properties, Construction & Property Rentals, Listowel, is on Thursday 14th and will be judged by the Crimmin Triplets. Holden Leathergoods exclusively launched new season designs and colours at their Summer Party,  in association with Dingle Distillery, in their shop on Holyground, Dingle on Friday night (28th of July).
